Master of Arts in Social Sciences

The program equips future social scientists and educators with essential input to engage in scientific undertakings of social phenomenon particularly the emerging trends to help solve the complex problems of developing nations through knowledge discovered, thereby contributing to the philosophical, historical, socio-cultural, and politico-economic advancement. It also equips its students with sound theoretical foundations for the teaching of social sciences. 

• Upon successful completion of the program, students will be able to: 

• analyze existing social conditions and application of laws in our society; 

• recommend solutions to the problems and issues confronting our community; 

• evaluate existing theoretical frameworks in analyzing social phenomena; 

• collaborate with stakeholders in the introduction and promotion of new ways of addressing social problems; and 

• design and apply programs and projects that are responsive to current local, national, and global needs.
