POLCA: Parents Organization La Salle Cavite
Vision
Imbibing the core Lasallian values of Faith, Zeal for Service, and Communion in Mission, the Parents Organization La Salle Cavite (POLCA) stands as a strong partner of De La Salle University–Dasmariñas in achieving academic excellence.
Mission
POLCA fulfills its role as part of the Lasallian community by providing essential support to programs, projects, and activities across all sectors that directly or indirectly benefit students and parents. It remains committed to promoting and preserving the Lasallian tradition of excellence.
General Guidelines
- A reservation form must be accomplished and submitted to the POLCA office.
- Reservation approval must be secured at least five (5) days before use on a first-come, first-served basis.
- POLCA members, university offices/departments, and recognized organizations may use the facility.
- FBH is intended for meetings, symposiums, seminars, workshops, college programs, and other institutional activities.
User Responsibilities
- Users are accountable for any damages incurred; repairs will be charged to the requisitioner.
- Posting announcements on FBH walls is strictly prohibited.
- Ensure lights, air conditioning, and other equipment are turned off after use.
- Return chairs and tables to their proper places.
- Additional equipment not available in FBH must be requested separately.
- POLCA office is off-limits; all preparations should be done within the FBH.
- Facility hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
- Clearance from the POLCA office is required after use.
In support of the university's mission to provide educational opportunities for deserving students in Cavite, POLCA sponsors scholars who successfully pass its screening process.
Objective
To provide financial assistance to deserving high school graduates pursuing 2-year to 5-year college courses.
Requirements:
- Accomplished POLCA application form
- Completed 8-page evaluation sheet from the SADO office
- Letter from parent/guardian explaining financial need
- Latest Income Tax Return (ITR) or Affidavit of Non-Filing
- Photocopy of 4th-year high school grades
- Recommendation letter from the principal or guidance counselor
- Three (3) copies of latest 2×2 colored ID picture
- Vicinity sketch of residence
- DLSU-D Entrance Test Result
Qualifications:
- High school general average must be 85% or higher; no grade with a “Z” mark.
- Must maintain:
- GPA of 3.00 or higher
- No grade lower than 2.00
- Must be enrolled in the maximum number of units required by the curriculum.
- Must maintain good moral standing throughout the scholarship period.
- Must present proof of financial need for committee evaluation.
- Must not be related by blood to any current members of the POLCA Board of Trustees.
