Master of Science in Biology

The Master of Science in Biology program is designed to provide students with advanced knowledge in the field of Biology through practical training, laboratory works, lectures, forums, and biological research. 

The course enhances the professional development of the students in pursuing specialization in biological fields in terms of teaching, research and laboratory, and field work. It utilizes small classes with convenient and flexible course schedules primarily every Saturdays to allow part-time study for working adults. Graduates of the program can secure specialized positions as educators, science researchers, laboratory analysts, field or environmental officers. 

• Upon successful completion of the program, students will be able to: 

• Develop critical thinking and a comprehensive understanding of biological principles and translate them into high-level research competency, proficiency, and instruction. 

• Effectively communicate concepts, principles, and research findings in biology to the scientific community through participation in research fora and conferences. 

• Adhere to ethical standards and cultural sensitivity in conducting and publishing research and participating in community extension and other outreach programs 

• Manifest professional leadership in specialized fields or areas in biology.
