Bachelor of Multimedia Arts
The DLSU-D Bachelor of Science in Graphics Design and Multimedia (BSGDM) program is a dynamic and fast-paced dimension that blends science, art, technology, and insight in a manner that encourages individual creativity while instilling a healthy respect for the realistic limitations of the marketplace and the broadening horizons of the media landscape.
Combining intensive laboratory work and various arts, this program is intended for students who have an affinity for visual expression and a desire to find a place for themselves in the fast-paced worlds of graphic design, whether their interests are in creating publications, advertising, packaging, public relations, corporate communications or entertainment vehicles.
Graphic Design and Multimedia covers core skills in communications, programming, and graphic design, combined with digital media and the internet. It is a mix of IT and audiovisual arts and offers students course cycles in computer graphics, 2D and 3D animation, video production and digital photography, and digital sound engineering. The graduates of this program might pursue a career as professionals in the fields of web designing, art directing, print designing, animating, advertising, and illustrating.

Program Goals
By the end of the Graphics Design and Multimedia program, graduates should be able to:
create and develop designs and concepts through visual illustrations, graphics, animation, and other related works for different industries and forms of entertainment;
demonstrate the ability to express and integrate the art theories and solution in most practical convenient means of presentation;
exercise the interdependence of artistic practice and intellectual knowledge;
develops the ability to handle a range of analytical and research methodologies in critical studies; and
Participate in the design and production of multimedia projects and perform their necessary tasks as artists.
Program Outcomes
By the time of graduation, the students of the program shall be able to:
design multimedia projects creatively, based on a knowledge of multimedia and communication theories, aesthetics, principles ad approaches.
critically evaluate and articulate the societal aesthetic, communicative and ethical value of a multimedia project based on global trends and issues in multimedia technoliges, design and practice.
demonstrate proficiency in the visual arts required in the production of multimedia projects.
demonstrate technical proficiency in the use of the appropriate technologies required in the production of multimedia projects.
collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
