Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
The DLSU-D Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) program concerns planning, design, and construction of engineering projects, including energy, environmental safety, and economic considerations.
BSCE graduates may find employment involving field measurements, construction materials and procedures, structural analysis and design, transportation engineering, water supply, and pollution control.

Program Goals
The Civil Engineering program shall produce professionals who:
practice their profession in their capacity as registered civil engineers;
promote advocacies and other endeavors supported by their acquired civil engineering education;
enhance their knowledge and skills via professional advancement in a specialized field of expertise;
exhibit professional ethics and attitude in engineering practice; and
demonstrate substantial involvement in projects related to key areas in structural engineering, transportation engineering, water resources engineering, construction management engineering, geotechnical engineering, environmental and energy engineering.
Program Outcomes
By the time of graduation, the students of the program shall have the ability to:
Apply knowledge of mathematics and science to solve civil engineering problems;
Design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data;
Design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints, in accordance with standards;
Function in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams;
Identify, formulate, and solve civil engineering problems;
Understand professional and ethical responsibility;
Communicate effectively on civil engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large;
Understand the impact of civil engineering solutions in a global, economic, environmental, and societal context;
Recognize the need for, and engage in life-long learning;
Know contemporary issues;
Use techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for civil engineering practice;
Know and understand engineering and management principles as member and leader of a team, and to manage projects in a multidisciplinary environment; and
Understand at least one specialized field of civil engineering practice.
