Program Goals
Graduates of Electrical Engineering will have the following abilities and attributes:
Apply advanced electrical engineering knowledge, industry standards, best practices, and modern techniques to analyze, design, and implement solutions to complex engineering challenges in their professional careers;
Function effectively as leaders or members of diverse teams in managing electrical engineering projects with consideration for sustainability, energy efficiency, environmental responsibility, and safety standards; and
Demonstrate ethical and professional responsibility grounded in Lasallian values while engaging in lifelong learning to advance their careers and contribute meaningfully to society
Program Outcomes
By the time of graduation, the students of the program shall have the ability to:
Identify, formulate, and solve complex electrical engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics;
Apply engineering design to produce solutions that meet specified needs with consideration of public health, safety, and welfare, as well as global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic factors;
Communicate technical matters effectively;
Recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering situations and make informed judgments, which must consider the impact of engineering solutions in global, economic, environmental, and societal contexts;
Function effectively on a team whose members together provide leadership, create a collaborative and inclusive environment, establish goals, plan tasks, and meet objectives
Develop and conduct appropriate experimentation, analyze and interpret data, and use engineering judgment to draw conclusions; and
Acquire and apply new knowledge as needed, using appropriate learning strategies.
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of engineering and management principles on project approach and methodology; and
Integrate Lasallian values and ethical concepts in professional engineering practice and project management.
