Economic growth around the globe has been driven by business enterprises and it is for this reason that BS Entrepreneurship is aptly offered by the Allied Business Department (ABD) of the College of Business Administration and Accountancy (CBAA). Through a combination of classroom training and experiential learning, the BS Entrepreneurship program aims to develop highly motivated individuals wanting to acquire business competencies in starting up and managing a business with global perspectives.
Specialization in Food Entrepreneurship
With the help of this specialization track, students can gain a deeper grasp of food culture and learn how to start their own food businesses as well as develop fresh, creative culinary ideas. Students who choose to pursue this specialized track will also develop sophisticated marketing skills as well as other vital entrepreneurial abilities that will better position them for employment as entrepreneurs in the real world.
Specialization in Agripreneurship
A key contributor to our food supply, agriculture is of vital importance to any economy. Given that the agriculture industry provides the majority of our food, agri-based products are essential links to the food chain in society. Agripreneurship teaches students how to build their entrepreneurial abilities while also providing them with an up-to-date and comprehensive understanding of current agricultural ideas, developments, trends, and regulations. This curriculum covers a wide variety of agri-based subjects so that students can gain practical experience in the agricultural field that most interests them.
Program Goals
Develop an entrepreneurial mindset grounded in creativity, innovation, opportunity recognition, and value creation.
Equip students with competencies in planning, launching, managing, and sustaining micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
Strengthen students' financial, marketing, operational, and strategic managerial skills through experiential learning.
Produce gradutes capable of contributing to local and national development through enterprise creation and job generation.
Provide students with specialized competencies in food entrepreneurship, including product innovation, food safety, food business operations, and food venture development.
