What Is a Lasallian Vocation?
A Lasallian vocation is a call to live with purpose. It invites you to discover how your talents, passions, and faith can be used to serve others—especially the young and the poor—through education.
It’s not about choosing a job. It’s about responding to God’s call to make a difference, guided by the Lasallian values of faith and zeal for service.
Becoming Brothers: Online Vocation Encounter
Curious about the brother’s life? Wondering how faith and education come together as a vocation?
BECOMING BROTHERS is an online encounter designed for young Christian men ages 18–35 who want to learn more about the life, mission, and community of the De La Salle Brothers.
Through monthly online sessions hosted by different sectors of the Lasallian East Asia District, you’ll hear real stories from the brothers and discover what it means to serve God through education.
Join a vocation that continues a 300-year legacy of educational excellence, inspired by St. John Baptist de La Salle, Patron Saint of Teachers.
Brothers Live-In Program (BLIP)
The De La Salle Brothers Live-In Program (BLIP) is an immersive experience that introduces young men and male professionals to the life and vocation of the Brothers of the Christian Schools (FSC). More than an orientation, BLIP is most importantly an invitation to step inside the brothers’ community and live out their mission up-close and personal.
Most Lasallians only see the brothers as school administrators or figures of authority. BLIP gently breaks that misconception. For five days, participants literally live with the brothers — sharing meals, conversations, prayer, and even laughter — discovering not just their roles in schools, but their humanity, simplicity, and grounded way of life.
BLIP participants can:
Join the brothers in morning and evening prayer
Attend and reflect during Mass
Talk in formation sessions about the brothers’ vocation and ministries
Engage in open, casual conversations with the brothers
Take part in weekend activities such as sports, recollections, or community events
At its heart, BLIP is discernment. Participation does not automatically mean that all participants are expected to become Brothers. Rather, it is also a way to spread the word to other aspirants and offer learning opportunities for young men.
For those seeking clarity, purpose, or a deeper understanding of the Lasallian vocation, BLIP offers more than information; it offers lived experience.
