Our Mission
The Lasallian Mission is a shared calling for the entire University community — inviting every member to help build an institution that stands as a living catalyst for Church and society. Rooted and committed to the poor, the marginalized, and in the peripheries, this mission accompanies each person toward becoming an agent of justice, compassion, and renewal.

“Let us remember that we are in the holy presence of God.”
To see with the eyes of faith is to recognize God's presence in the classroom, in the community, in the student before us. Through programs and formation experiences, we create spaces where the Lasallian family encounters God and allows that encounter to reshape how we think, teach, and decide. Faith is not a compartment of university life but the lens through which we read the Philippine reality and through which every discipline asks what its knowledge is ultimately for — and how its particular way of seeing enlarges our understanding of God's presence among us.
SERVICE
“I will continue, O my God, to do all my actions for the love of You.”
The Founder did not send us to observe poverty from a safe distance; he sent us to become one with those we serve. Service means immersing ourselves in the life of our partner communities and staying long enough to understand not only immediate need but the structures that hold that need in place, so that solutions emerge from the community itself rather than for it. It is expressed in programs and engagements where individuals and groups across the University come together to advance the public good, address systemic challenges, and help shape the direction of a community — responding to the signs of the times by protecting the most vulnerable, especially the young entrusted to our care, and by caring for the common home on which we all depend.
COMMUNION
“Live Jesus in our hearts — forever.”
No Lasallian carries the mission alone. Communion is the deliberate work of forming one family from many sectors — Brothers, faculty, staff, students, alumni, and partners — who hold the mission together and by association, the guarantor of Lasallian spirituality across generations. It is expressed in programs and activities that bring the various sectors of the University together and encourage us to respond to our faith by building an inclusive and collaborative Lasallian community: fraternity, synodality and formation together, belonging that ripens into commitment.

Lasallian Convocation
Rev. Fr. Vladimir M. Echalas, SOLT, speaker, together with the Lasallian Partners and the Lasallian Ministry and Formation Office (LMFO) as organizer, for the Institutional Start of the Year Convocation, centered on the theme “Weaving Synodality into the Fabric of Our Academic Community Towards an Inclusive, Just, and Sustainable Society,” as a meaningful start to the academic year as we continue to walk together in faith, service, and communion.
Walking Together in Formation
Today, the Office of the Vice President for Lasallian Mission gathered the Lasallian Ministry and Formation Office (LMFO), the Lasallian Community Development Center (LCDC), De la Salle Bahay Pag-asa Dasmariñas, and the University Chaplain for a Lasallian Formation Reflection Session with Br. Vic Franco FSC.

Four offices. One table. One mission.
Formation from Day One
The Office of the Vice President for Lasallian Mission sat down with the Human Resource Management Office to weave initial Lasallian Formation into the onboarding of new employees. Present were Br. Dan I. Sanding FSC, Vice President for Lasallian Mission; Dr. Jaqueline Morta, HRMO Director; Dr. Dindo Cabalsa, Director of the Lasallian Ministry and Formation Office; and Mr. Rowel Paras, Associate Director for Training and Development.
The initiative recognizes that entry into the University is not only an employment transaction but an invitation into association for the mission. Newly hired personnel, whether in academic or support roles, will be introduced from the outset to the life of St. John Baptist de La Salle, the core Lasallian values, and the University's commitment to the last, the lost, and the least.
Walking Together: Fraternity in Motion
Mass of the Holy Spirit for Lasallian Partners and Profession of Faith
The Lasallian community gathered in faith and communion as the Vice President for Lasallian Mission shared his office’s direction, renewing our shared commitment to the Lasallian mission.
This was followed by the Mass of the Holy Spirit, where members of the Religious Education Department and those involved in formation ministry professed their faith and took their Oath of Fidelity.
May the Holy Spirit continue to guide us in our mission of faith, formation, and service.
