The Aklatang Emilio Aguinaldo – Information Resource Center (AEA-IRC) is the premier academic and research hub of De La Salle University-Dasmariñas. It was honored with the 2020 Outstanding Academic/Research Library Award by the Philippine Association of Academic/Research Librarians (PAARL), recognizing its leadership in library management, education and training, information services, sustainability initiatives, and cultural heritage preservation.
Aligned with the Lasallian mission and core values, AEA-IRC is dedicated to advancing innovation, inclusivity, and collaboration in support of teaching, learning, and research. It ensures equitable access to a wide range of learning resources—print, digital, and multimedia—responsive to the evolving needs of students, faculty, and researchers.

History
The humble beginnings of the Aklatang Emilio Aguinaldo (AEA) date back to the establishment of the General Emilio Aguinaldo College
(GEAC) Dasmariñas Campus on July 18, 1977. The library started as a classroom-sized facility staffed by two personnel and was relocated to the administration building in 1978.
The opening of the College of Medicine in 1979 prompted GEAC administrators to create two separate libraries: a medical library and an undergraduate library. In 1981, the medical library was moved to the second floor of Building 2 at the East Campus. When the College of Medicine transferred to the University Medical Center compound in 1986, the undergraduate library gained additional space.

On August 1, 1991, the groundbreaking ceremony for a new library building was held, led by the late Bishop Felix Perez. The building, patterned after the Aguinaldo Shrine in Kawit, Cavite, was conceptualized by Bro. Andrew Gonzales FSC, designed by Arch. Roberto Estanislao, and constructed by Engr. Perry Piccio of Constar Construction. The new Aklatang Emilio Aguinaldo was inaugurated on April 30, 1992.
The construction was made possible through the leadership of Bro. Rafael S. Donato FSC, President, and Dr. Oscar O. Bautista, Executive Vice President. The growing population of De La Salle University-Dasmariñas later necessitated a library extension, designed by Arch. Ernesto Reyes and built by H. L. Carlos.
The architectural design of AEA replicates the Aguinaldo Shrine, the historic home of the first Philippine President, General Emilio Aguinaldo. Its façade, a larger version of the shrine, contributes to the historical character of the Museum Complex, a cultural zone envisioned by Bro. Andrew Gonzales FSC where the library is located. The interiors reflect classic 19th-century architecture, and its rooms are named after the Thirteen Martyrs of Cavite, honoring their heroism and significant role in Philippine history.
