Request a Library Orientation or Training
As part of the Library’s information literacy initiatives, the Aklatang Emilio Aguinaldo–Information Resource Center (AEA-IRC) offers Library Orientation and Training Programs designed to help students and faculty maximize the use of library resources and research tools.
These sessions introduce participants to the library’s print and online collections, databases, and research support services, empowering users to develop effective research skills for academic and scholarly work.
Students and faculty are encouraged to schedule a session that best fits their learning needs and schedule.
Participants may choose from the following options:
- Session Mode: Online or onsite
- Group Size: One-on-one, group session, or entire class
- Schedule: By appointment, based on availability
These flexible options ensure a learning experience that is convenient and comfortable for all participants.

Covers topics across all disciplines. An access to EBSCOHost eBook High School Collection that includes collection of classic literary works , important historical documents and general reference materials is also available.

Reference works such as encyclopedias, dictionaries, handbooks and guides are the type of resources available from Gale eBooks.

Audio-Visual Resources
The Audio-Visual Resources Collection consists of non-print instructional materials that support teaching, learning, and presentations across various academic disciplines. These resources enhance understanding through visual and auditory formats and are available for instructional and research use.
The collection includes:
- Video and audio cassette tapes
- Transparencies
- Slides
- Instructional kits
- Maps
- Charts
Audio-visual materials are designed to supplement classroom instruction, facilitate demonstrations, and support independent and group learning activities.
Audio-Visual Equipment
The Audio-Visual Equipment support instructional activities, presentations, training sessions, and academic events. These equipment are available to complement the Library’s audio-visual resources and enhance teaching and learning experiences.
The available equipment includes:
- Multimedia projectors
- Laptop computers
- Cassette recorders
- Multimedia, overhead, slide, and opaque projectors
- Video cassette players and recorders
- Television monitors
- Wide-screen displays
These equipment are provided to facilitate effective delivery of lectures, multimedia presentations, and instructional demonstrations.
Archives and Special Collections
The Archives and Special Collection - houses the official University records, publications, theses collection (in print and in electronic format) of both graduate and undergraduate students, rare books, memorabilia, preservation copies of Lasalliana collection, published and unpublished works written by faculty members of the university:
- Official University Records pertain to official records created and received by the University through itsdifferent offices/units/departments. These include memos and correspondence, minutes of meeting, reportsand the like. These are arranged according to office/ unit/ department that created the record.
- University Publications include catalogs, brochures, handbooks, manuals, newsletters, journals, annualreports, and campus newspaper that are published by the University.
- Theses and Dissertations include research projects, undergraduate and graduate thesis defended at the DeLa Salle University–Dasmariñas. These also include research projects of faculty members of DLSU-D defendedin other colleges/universities as requirement for the attainment of their respective degrees.
- Lasalliana Collection includes books and other materials related to St. John Baptist de La Salle, otherLasallian saints and of the Christian Brothers School.
- Memorabilia are collection of artifacts, paintings, sculptures and other souvenir items given to the formerDLSU System Presidents and to the president of DLSU-D displayed at the AEA-IRC Gallery.
- Rare Books collection includes books and other materials that are distinguished for its early imprint, historical,limited and rare editions.

Course Reserves
Contains books which have been designated by faculty members as required reading for their courses. It also houses the Rizaliana collection. Materials in this section are for overnight use only.
Research Support
Turnitin
Turnitin access is now activated via the DLSU-Dasmariñas Learning Management System “Schoolbook”. Faculty as instructors may create a “Turnitin Assignment” which allows submitted students’ written output undergo text-matching.
Turnitin checks for text similarities and generates similarity reports to assist students in identifying and correcting these occurrences as forms of plagiarism in their work. It matches the text against sources from the repository of previously submitted papers, internet documents, and Turnitin repository of periodicals, journals, and other publications.
